NC-100 NIHONWELD Cast Iron Welding Electrodes are premium pure nickel (ENi-CI) covered electrodes specially developed for the repair and reclamation of gray cast iron components. They produce a soft, fully machinable weld deposit with excellent crack resistance, making them ideal for repairing casting defects, shrinkage cavities, gas blowholes, machining errors, and worn or damaged cast iron parts.
NC-100 is manufactured with a pure nickel core wire, providing a smooth and stable arc with a fluid molten weld pool that offers excellent wetting characteristics. The weld deposit is highly ductile, free from hard zones, porosity, and cracking, allowing for easy post-weld machining and finishing. It is suitable for use on gray cast iron castings where high-quality, machinable repairs are required.
