• Single-layer polyester jacket construction
• PVC, polyurethane, or rubber-lined interior
• Lightweight and easy to handle
• Flexible and easy to roll and store
• Resistant to abrasion, mildew, and weathering
• Suitable for firefighting, industrial washdown, dewatering, irrigation, and general water discharge applications
• Available in common sizes such as 1½", 2", and 2½" diameters
Advantages
• Lighter than double-jacket hoses
• Easier for one person to deploy and retrieve

• Good flow performance due to smooth internal lining
Limitation
• Less abrasion resistance and durability than a double-jacket fire hose because it has only one protective outer layer. Double-jacket hoses are generally preferred for heavy-duty municipal firefighting where hoses are dragged over rough surfaces frequently.
