The RIDGID VF4000 (Cat. No. 72947) is a standard 1-layer pleated paper cartridge filter designed for general dry debris collection in RIDGID wet/dry vacuums. It is suitable for everyday dirt such as sawdust, general workshop debris, and typical dirt from garages, basements, and vehicles. RIDGID specifies the filter for 5–20 gallon wet/dry vacuums, including 6, 12, and 16 gallon models.

The filter uses RIDGID's Qwik Lock™ fastening system, allowing quick installation and removal without tools. The pleated construction provides increased filtration surface area, and the filter can be washed and reused when properly dried.
