The RIDGID Model 1450 Pressure Test Pump, Cat. No. 50557, is a manually operated hydraulic pressure-testing pump designed to test piping and plumbing systems for leaks. It is suitable for heating, compressed-air, refrigeration, oil, sprinkler/fire-protection and other small-bore pipe installations. RIDGID specifies testing capability up to 725 PSI (approximately 50 bar).
The Model 1450 uses a two-stage lever-action pumping system to rapidly fill and pressurize a piping system. Its automatic pressure-holding function eliminates the need to manually close a valve during testing. The pump also incorporates inlet and outlet filtration for improved reliability and an aluminum/carbon-enhanced PTFE piston pump for extended service life.
Main Features
• 725 PSI maximum testing pressure for demanding piping-system leak tests.
• Very low operating effort, making the pump practical for field use.
• Automatic pressure maintenance, eliminating the need to manually close a valve after pressurization.
• Two-stage lever action for faster filling and pressurization.
• 38 cm³ volume per stroke.
• Inlet and outlet filters help improve reliability.
• Aluminum and carbon-enhanced PTFE piston pump provides extended service life.
• 13.5-liter plastic reservoir provides sufficient liquid capacity for typical small-bore piping tests.
Typical Applications
The RIDGID 1450 can be used for hydraulic leak/pressure testing of:
1. Heating installations
2. Potable-water piping
3. Sprinkler/fire-suppression systems
4. Refrigeration systems
5. Compressed-air systems
6. Oil installations
7. Other small-bore piping installations requiring leak testing
